If you have yet to get a flu vaccine this year there is still time.
The Saginaw County Health Department has addiditonal flu vaccines at immunization clinics.
The vaccine will be given on a first-come first-serve basis until it is gone.
The shot will cost 30 dollars and Medicare, Medicade, Blue Care Network, Health Plus, and some Blue Cross/Blue Shield plans will be accepted.
Immunization clinic schedules can be viewed by going to the Health Department Website at the link provided or by calling (989) 758-3840.
To minimize risk getting the flu or spreading it to others, it is recommended you frequently wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, as well as covering your mouth and nose when you sneeze or cough.
It is also recommended that if you do feel sick to stay home and avoid contact with the elderly or frail people as they are at high risk of catching the flu.
