EL PASO, Texas —
A local autism organization is holding its biggest fundraising event of the year Saturday.
More than a thousand walkers and runners will hit the pavement with a purpose at Ascarate Park.
It's all in support of the Autism Society of El Paso.
"Just like the statistics are growing, so is our community in supporting each other." said Lynn Hernandez, administrative assistant of the Autism Society of El Paso, " Just to see how many people get together to support the autism community, it's just really a great big blessing."
The 9th annual run/walk for autism will take place Saturday.
It starts at 7 a.m. at Ascarate Park.
