Woman involved in crash at Bassett Middle School identified
EL PASO, Texas (CBS4) —
The driver who crashed into a rock wall at a middle school Thursday was identified.
Guadalupe Diaz, 41, was seriously injured when she crashed her Hyundai Sonata at Bassett Middle School around 5 a.m.
The crash site on Elm Street and Tyler Avenue was marked with red police tape.
Diaz was taken to University Medical Center in serious condition.
Investigators said Diaz was westbound on Tyler Avenue and failed to yield at the stop sign at Elm and collided into the cement wall in front of Basset Middle School.
