FBI Search

Local and federal authorities were seen searching a home in northeast El Paso Tuesday morning.

Agents were seen at 6 a.m. at a home on Waverly Drive and Threadgill Avenue.

According to a spokeswoman with the FBI, the agency, along with the El Paso Police Department’s Gang Unit, executed a federal search warrant at a home.

A CBS4 News crew was at the scene when federal and local officers were searching the home. A canine unit was also used in the search.

According to neighbors, this isn't the first time that residence has brought unwanted police attention to the street.

"Ever since they put this duplex, we've had a lot of problems," said Alicia Rodarte, a neighbor. "Sometimes they're fighting, they've got police cars out here all the time so kind of like we're getting used to the situation."

"There have been problems there in the past, and I guess the problems keep surfacing. People, they move around," said Felipe Acosta, a neighbor.

Other responding agencies include FBI and EPPD SWAT, the FBI Evidence Response Team, FBI Safe Streets Task Force, BOP Task Force Officers and officers with the El Paso Independent School District.

No other information was immediately available.
