El Pasoans can expect dusty winds this week

We had a break from the dusty winds over the weekend, but the windy season isn’t over.

Strong winds and some blowing dust are expected in the Borderland by midday Tuesday into early Tuesday evening, according to the National Weather Service.

A wind advisory will go into effect Tuesday at 10 a.m. and will extend to 7 p.m.

Wind gusts will reach 25-35 mph with gusts to 45 mph.

The gusty winds can impact vehicle handling, especially high-profile vehicles, and blowing dust in some areas will cause low visibility that can create sudden dangerous driving conditions.

We are expected to have a normal spring day Wednesday, but the winds are forecast to return Thursday and Friday.
