Fifth arrest made in auto theft ring involving local dealership
EL PASO, Texas (CBS4) —
A fifth person was arrest in connection with a theft ring that resulted in the theft of five vehicles including a $150,000 sports car.
Mark Mitchell, 45, Amy Chavira, 22, Nicole Davidson, 28, and Robert Lee Reynolds III, 25, are accused of working together to obtain a 2012 Chevy Camaro, a 2014 Nissan Armada, a 2015 Ford F-150, a 2016 Dodge Challenger Hellcat and a 2017 Acura NSX from the dealership on 7230 Viscount Blvd.
The thefts took place between June 2016 and July 2017, and all four were charged in August with theft of more than $300,000 and engaging in organized criminal activity.
Police said Robert Lee Reynolds II, 46, was also involved in the scheme. He was arrested on Friday after a warrant was issued by a grand jury. He was booked into the county jail on a $300,000 bond.
