Hundreds of El Paso Independent School District football players trained with Dallas Cowboys coaches Wednesday morning.

Officials said EPISD was the only district selected to participate in the Texas Lottery Commission’s Dallas Cowboys Football Camp.

The coaches, all NFL football players, met with 300 athletes at El Paso High School’s Jones Stadium to teach them drills and other football skills.

Cowboys linebacker Kyle Wilber spoke to the players at the start of the camp. The district said players ended their day with a game of flag football.

Athletes from 10 EPISD high schools participated. El Paso was selected through a partnership with the Texas Lottery, the district said.
