Law enforcement looking for risky drivers on St. Patrick's day

Law enforcement has a busy weekend ahead of them beginning tonight, St. Patrick's Day.

As people are making their way to bars to celebrate the holiday, officers will be on patrol throughout the city.

The City of El Paso has recorded 12 traffic related-related deaths this year to date.

Officers will be looking for possible drunk drivers, andas well as drivers who otherwise aren't being safe on the road.

But it's not just El Paso Police on patrol; El Paso County Sheriff's Office deputies will be looking for at risk-risk drivers for the rest of this month.

The goal is to reduce the number of traffic related-related fatalities, and traffic hazards, and to get unsafe drivers off the road.

People with plans to celebrate this weekend, or those just driving around, are being asked to adhere to checkpoints throughout the city.

And as a reminder, it's not only impaired driving that they are looking for, officers and deputies will also be looking for drivers with warrants as well.
