Northeast Park needs improvement suggestions from residents

Residents in Northeast El Paso have a chance to weigh in on the second phase of the Northeast Regional Park.

Wednesday, the city is asking what improvements you think should still be made.

The park located off McCombs and Gateway North has a budget of $3.5 million from the 2012 Quality Bond Program.

Some improvements that are still pending are installation of new lights and flat fields. The park will also include a new dog park and a walking trail.

The community meeting will be at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Veterans Recreation Center, located off Salem and Rushing. The meeting will be hosted by the city of El Paso Capital Improvement Department.
