Rain, winds darken El Paso Wednesday

Rainfall began around 10 a.m. in west El Paso.

Some people out and about CBS4 spoke with were prepared.

"We usually get the coats ready and prepare ourselves to drive safely," said Alex Loya of resident in west El Paso.

Some folks said they're happy with the change of pace the weather brought to the Sun City.

“It's a good change of pace. I like the cold so I kind a like being out in this type of weather." Andres Camacho, a resident in west El Paso.

El Paso County is expected to experience isolated showers and winds throughout Wednesday, according to meteorologist Joshua Zuber.

Around 12 p.m. TxDOT cameras showed a vehicle rolled on its side along U.S. 54 at the I-10 east ramp.

Motorists are encouraged to slow down when the roads are slick and drive with caution.
