Police identify victim in deadly pedestrian crash in northeast El Paso

UPDATE: The El Paso Police Department has identified the man who was killed in last nights car crash as 71-year-old Angel Chaparro.

According to police, Chaparro was struck by a 2012 Nissan Versa at about 9 p.m. on the 9500 block of McCombs.

The Versa was being driven 26-year-old Nicole Banks, said police.

According to EPPD, Chaparro was transported to University Medical Center where he died from his injuries.

A person has died following a pedestrian crash in northeast El Paso.

El Paso police were at the scene the along McMcombs and Lindsey streets around 9 p.m. Saturday.

Fire dispatch told CBS4 someone had been taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
