This Sept. 11, students at a local high school are showing their respects to those injured or killed in the 9/11 attacks.

Loretto Academy's Junior class will take an all-day vow of silence in honor of those who lost their voices.

This will happen after prayer for the victims.

Monday is the anniversary of the four coordinated terrorist attacks by the Islamic terrorist group Al-Qaeda were executed that Tuesday morning.<garbled

Four planes were hijacked by terrorists.

Two planes were crashed into the New York twin towers.

Another plane was flown into the Pentagon and then one plane crashed into a field in Pennsylvania.

A total of 2,996 people were lost that day.

This morning, the students of Loretto will pray for those affected and go about their day in their vow of silence, only communicating by using notes.

This is a gesture for a memory these students weren't there to witness.

These students were born on or around the year 2001.
