Three teens charged after armed robbery of east El Paso smoke shop
EL PASO, Texas (CBS) —
Three teenagers were arrested after an armed robbery at an east El Paso smoke shop.
Police said Jonathan Isaiah Mendoza, 17; Melakiah William Viscaino, 18, who was 17 at the time of the robbery; and Israel Quentin Adame, 17; went to the Hot Box Smoke Shop at 3343 Saul Kleinfeld Drive on Wednesday night.
Two of the teens entered the stored armed with a handgun and a bat. Police said they threatened a store employee and took money from the register.
The two teens then left the store and got into the getaway vehicle being driven by the third teen.
They were all arrested and booked into the El Paso County Jail and charged with aggravated robbery.
Viscaino’s bond was set at $100,000, Mendoza’s bond was set at $50,000 and Adame is being held on a $75,000 bond.
