UTEP celebrates homecoming week
EL PASO, Texas (CBS4) —
UTEP homecoming week is in full swing. Hundreds of students attended Thursday afternoon's pep rally.
This year is a homecoming for both alumni and interim head football coach Mike Price.
"We're always excited to welcome someone home who is affiliated with our campus and coach Price will do a wonderful job," said Catie McCorry-Andalis, associate vice president and dean of students at UTEP.
Price's first game leading the Miners will be Saturday against Western Kentucky.
Students were also excited about Price being back.
"It really shows true dedication for a coach to come back and say I'm here, I want to help you guys and I want to win," Alexis Castanon said.
Kickoff for the homecoming game will be at 6 p.m. at the Sun Bowl.
