UTEP fans hold out hope with Coach Price leading the Miners
EL PASO, Texas (CBS4) —
Saturday was coach Mike Price's first time leading the UTEP football team in five years. Western Kentucky University defeated the Miners 15-14 at Saturday night's homecoming game.
Before the game, fans said having coach Price back gives them hope.
"Why not? Anything's better than what we had the last five weeks," UTEP fan Frank Escapita said. "They say change is always good."
Fans said they hope Price could bring in wins moving forward, even though the team is now 0-6 on the season.
"I still have hope in UTEP," UTEP fan Idalis Madrid said. "I never lose hope, especially in my home team."
Escapita said bringing back Price could be an advantage on the field.
