Wet-N-Wild hosting events before the end of summer 2017

Wet-N-Wild hosting events before the end of summer 2017.

Wet-N-Wild offers two events for the family as summer 2017 comes to an end.

Officials at Wet-N-Wild say they will soon be closing again until next May, but say they have various events for families to attend.

On Sunday Aug. 20, the water park will have several mermaids available for guests to meet and take pictures with. The event begins at noon, and they will be offering mermaid makeovers, a mermaid tea party and story time, mermaid singalong and other activities. The event is free for season pass holders and is included with regular pass entrance.

Next Sunday, Aug. 27, Wet-N-Wild’s mascot, Freddy the Surfin’ Frog will take on other local mascots for a race. Some of those mascots are Sparky, Spike, Rhino, Captain Fitness, Planet Fitness, Toro Tax and Timmy the Tooth. The park says the meet-and-greet begins at 3 p.m., with the race starting at 4 p.m. The event is also free for season pass holders and included with regular park entrance.

Wet-N-Wild says the park will remain open on weekends and holidays through Sept. 10.
