U.S. general slams idea of carpet bombing ISIS
The U.S. general leading the fight against ISIS is slamming the idea of indiscriminate bombing, also known as carpet bombing.
It's a topic being brought up among Republicans on the presidential campaign trail.
Lt. General Sean MacFarland said the U.S. has the moral high ground and needs to stay there.
"Indiscriminate bombing, where we don't care if we're killing innocents or combatants, is just inconsistent with our values," MacFarland said.
Meanwhile, Secretary of State John Kerry is urging the American-led coalition fighting ISIS to step up its efforts to stop the group in Libya.
Kerry said creating a national unity government in Libya would stop ISIS from taking control of the country.
