Pedestrian input requested on University Pedestrian Project
El Paso, TEXAS —
While one of El Paso's iconic neighborhoods is getting a facelift, the City of El Paso wants to make sure that pedestrians don't get hurt in the process.
The pillars for the Sun City Lights Archway are now up in Kern Place.
But your input is still needed to improve pedestrian conditions.
Kern Place is home to shops and restaurants, not to mention near the university.
In addition to street rehabilitation, sidewalk reconstruction and increased parking will also be discussed.
Earlier this month, the city had a meeting to discuss the university pedestrian improvements project.
Monday, the city wants to follow up on improvements with the community and get feedback.
The University Pedestrian Project's public meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m.
It'll be held at Mesita Elementary School at 3307 N. Stanton Street.
