Public invited to hear about next year's fiscal budget for El Paso Water Public Services
EL PASO, Texas —
The Public Service Board with El Paso Water will hold a meeting to discuss the budget for the fiscal year 2018-2019.
There are a few big ticket items being discussed.
The first will be to give formal consent for emergency repairs to stormwater systems in West El Paso.
This comes after three holes opened up near La Placita Avenue and Belvidere Street over the summer after two stormwater drains collapsed.
Contractors working on the damage will cost over $3 million alone.
The emergency pipes cost approximately $235,000.
Another item is the Canutillo Wastewater Vacuum system and includes manholes and sanitary sewer service.
The project nearly will cost $2,000,000.
This meeting is open to the public and starts at 6 p.m. at the El Paso Water Main Office on 1154 Hawkins Blvd.
