Chihuahuas win PCL Championship
OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma —
For the first time since 1994, an El Paso team will be represented in a championship game after the Chihuahuas knock off the Dodgers in game four Friday, 4-3 in 11 innings, to win the PCL championship series 3-1.
Jose Rondon's go-ahead bunt attempt proved to be the difference after scoring Patrick Kivlehan and giving his team the go-ahead run in the 11th.
The Chihuahuas now will meet the Scranton Wilkes-Barre Railriders, the New York Yankees triple-a affiliate, for the National Championship Tuesday in Memphis, Tennessee.
