Jennifer Han ready for upcoming fight following ankle injury
EL PASO, Texas (CBS4) —
El Paso’s Jennifer Han says she’s ready, and not just for her upcoming title fight. The IBF featherweight champ says she is ready to take her career to the next level.
“I think I’ve proven myself, and I’m ready to have one of my fights televised,” Han tells CBS4’s Lou Romano. “It’s hard to find television executives and promoters who are willing to put women’s boxing on a TV card, but it’s a slow process and I think we’re close.”
Han is recovering from an ankle injury that forced her to postpone her Dec. 1 fight at the El Paso County Coliseum. The fight against Lisbeth Crespo will instead take place on Jan. 27 at the Don Haskins Center.
