EL PASO, Texas (CBS4) — The louder the music, the greater the fun!
The sounds of a border town are something special, so make sure you don't miss it.
The mariachi group Trio Mexico del Noche will continue to host their free performances at the Outlet Shoppes at El Paso every other Sunday of the month.
Performances are held at center court, between Tommy Hilfiger and Banana Republic. Click here for a map of the outlets.
Marketing Coordinator, David Gest, said the performances, known as Sunday Fun Day, have been happening for more than five years, and shoppers have been very receptive.
"In the city of El Paso, you know, there's a lot of blending of the cultures and we accept that completely. They're [Sunday Fun Day] always very well received by visitors here, and it's always a pleasant surprise on a Sunday afternoon and are welcomed by that mariachi music," Gest said.
While the event might not be new, the performance times are. During the Fall and Winter months, each performance will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
In addition to live music, you'll find games like ping pong and pool, a fully stocked food court and a sip and shop booth serving adult beverages.
The food court is in the process of renovations, so within the next few months, expect Sunday Fun Day to be bigger and better than ever..
"I encourage people to come to these Sunday Fun Days because they're only going to get better," said Gest.
