EL PASO, Texas (CBS4) — There aren't many better ways to spend a Saturday than sipping your favorite coffee or cocktail and supporting local businesses.
Head to Capri Coffee and Cocktail for their Capri Handpicked Market.
Derek Kettel, the market's organizer, said this designed specifically for local women entrepreneurs to show off their hand crafted goods.
"It's people's talents. It's people's livelihoods. It's what they wanna do and aspire to be," he stated.
In addition to supporting more than 10 local businesses, Kettel believes this market is full of opportunities, not just for the vendors, but for the merchants too.
It gives both groups the chance for marketing, sharing ideas, and discovery. Kettel said discovery is one of the most important parts of the market.
"The discovery part is so much fun. You come out for one vendor and you discover two or three vendors. You'll be like, "I didn't know they were making this here in El Paso, or I didn't know this existed." This is super cool," Kettel added.
The Capri Handpicked Market market is held every last Saturday of the month. This Saturday, July 30, marks the fourth market so far.
Kettel said he's impressed by the growth they've seen from month to month are expecting around 200 people to attend.
The market runs from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.. It is open to all ages, and pets are welcome.
Make sure to grab a drink while you shop! There will be alcoholic and non alcoholic options at happy hour prices.
