'Stranger Things' 80s dance party in downtown El Paso

Kate Bush will have you running up that hill at this week's Just 4 Fun!
You might think you're in Hawkins, Indiana, but you'll actually be at Lowbrow Palace in Downtown El Paso.
Whether it's neon eyeshadow, leg warmers or acid wash jeans, you'll be taken back to the 80s at Friday's Stranger Things 80s Dance Party!
"It's been interesting with Stranger Things because the younger kids are getting to relive the 80s. I think our goal with this is mixing up the crowd who actually lived in the 80s with the younger crowd," said Lowbrow promoter Christian Yanez.
Friday's event will use the popular Netflix show as a platform to combine old and new music, fashion and friends. Yanez said this Stranger Things theme is a great way to bring two different eras together through music.
"The interesting thing that Stranger Things has done, is combining fans of Metallica or Kate Bush with Billie Eilish and Olivia Rodrigo, and meshing the two and having them interact and just have fun in the same environment," Yanez stated.
Door open at 9:00 p.m. on Friday, and a DJ will begin spinning tunes at 10:00 p.m. The performance will be complete with on stage visuals from the show.
Make sure to dress the part and come ready to dance!
No roller skates will be allowed, and make sure you stay out of the upside down.
