Chris Cornell's wife flies to Detroit to question late rocker's death
Vicky Cornell, wife of late Soundgarden rocker Chris Cornell, flew to Detroit Friday to meet with the Wayne County Medical Examiner who declared her husband's cause of death, The Blaze reported.
Though the coroner declared the singer's death a suicide, Cornell believes her husband did not kill himself.
In interviews, she's been adamant that Chris "didn't want to die" and was far from depressed.
The family said in a statement that without toxicology tests, they can't be sure what led to his death or if any substances were involved.
Now, sources told The Blast she's meeting the medical examiner to discuss the details of the death.
Cornell, who had been on tour, died May 12 in Detroit following a concert with Soundgarden that night.
