EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — The Animal Rescue League of El Paso will soon begin its first major renovation in 26 years.
The renovations will begin Wednesday and are expected to be finished in about a year.
The makeover includes new gates, fencing, doggy doors, insulation, duct work and overhead shade for the outdoor runs.
The shelter will remain fully operational to the public during the remodeling.
ARL said it has rescued more than 27,000 animals.
