Chase tower in downtown El Paso renamed
One of El Paso's downtown buildings is getting a new look and name.
The Chase tower, where the Chase Bank El Paso headquarters was located, is turning into "One San Jacinto."
The building at 201 E. Main has an updated look to include LED lighting that will wash the building’s distinctive façade in light.
One San Jacinto will add splash of color to the downtown skyline.
Community organizations will be able to sponsor special commemorative lightings of the building utilizing the new color-changing LED technology.
“With the building’s new name and new look, One San Jacinto Plaza will continue to be among the most prestigious addresses in downtown,” said Jamie Gallagher, senior vice president of Borderplex Realty Trust, which owns the 20-story tower.
The downtown Chase branch offices moved this month to the Mills Building.
The YWCA El Paso del Norte Region is now located inside One San Jacinto.
In October, One San Jacinto Plaza will be lit up in several colors, including orange in celebration of the YWCA’s logo, purple in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month and red to spread awareness of the YWCA’s popular “Walk a Mile in Her Shoes” event.
Tenants of the building include restaurants, healthcare groups, law offices, accounting firms, family offices, insurance companies, and financial institutions.
Community organizations that would like to sponsor a commemorative lighting of the tower can contact Borderplex Realty Trust at 915-533-4636.
