Drink, play mini golf at local bars at inaugural Barstool Open

People will have the opportunity to test their mini golf skills and check out local bars in the first-ever Barstool Open.

The Barstool Open, presented by Miller Lite and Topgolf, is a nine-hole miniature golf tournament that will take place Jan. 27 with holes spread throughout seven downtown El Paso bars.

Teams of four will receive a swag bag, play nine holes and have an opportunity to win several prizes.

Participating bars include:

  • Circa 1963, 325 N. Kansas St. (inside Hotel Indigo)
  • Craft & Social, 305 E. Franklin St.
  • Epic Bar & Nightclub, 510 N. Stanton St.
  • Gray Dog, 500 N. Oregon St.
  • International, 114 E. Mills Ave.
  • Park Tavern, 204 E. Mills Ave.
  • The Speak Easy, 303 E. Franklin Ave.

Prizes will be awarded in the following categories:

  • The Topgolf Best Team Costume/Outfit (Prizes provided by Topgolf)
  • Best Team Name
  • Low Team Score
  • Low Individual Score
  • The Coffee Box Hole-in-One prize (Free Coffee Box beverage (up to $5 value) for participants who make a hole-in-one)

Registration costs $60 and will be $80 the day of the event. Packet pick-up and day-of registration will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Circa 1963. The golfing will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and teams will be able to guide themselves to the various locations.

An awards ceremony will be held from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
