El Paso fire officials determine fire at Crosby Elementary School was arson

El Paso Fire Department officials confirmed on Wednesday that the fire at Crosby Elementary School was determined to have been arson.

Fire officials said no arrests have been made and said the investigation continues.

The fire happened at the school in northeast El Paso early Monday morning right after midnight on the 5300 block of Wren Avenue.

No injuries were reported.

Officials with the El Paso Independent School District said the planetarium was not affected by the fire and it remains open.

This is not the first fire at Crosby Elementary School.

There was another fire back in January that started in one of the classrooms before it spread all the way to the roof of the school.
