Victim, suspects involved in deadly lower valley shooting ID'd
Two El Paso teens are facing capital murder charges in connection to the death of a 25-year-old man found shot at an apartment complex in the Lower Valley.
Carlos Calderon was found with gun shot wounds on the stairs of an apartment complex at 8507 Alameda Avenue Saturday around 1:30 p.m., said police.
Investigators believe Calderon was shot during a drug deal involving 19-year-old Ashley Galloway and 18-year-old Jerrica Arredondo.
The investigation revealed Galloway and Arredondo collaborated to setup a drug deal with Calderon and rob him, said police.
Calderon was shot during the drug transaction.
Galloway and Arredondo were found a short distance away by police.
The two were taken into custody and charged and booked into the El Paso County Jail.
