Famous Dave's nationwide all-star BBQ series to make stop in El Paso
EL PASO, Texas (CBS4/KFOX14) — Famous Dave's has announced their effort to find the best barbeque team in the nation, with a stop in El Paso at the Montana location on June 3rd.
Famous Dave's is partnering with the World Food Championships (WFC) to find the best pitmaster in the nation.
The event will feature celebrity and local pitmasters facing off in a multi-category barbecue challenge at Famous Dave’s restaurants nationwide.
Winning teams at the restaurant level will then qualify to advance into the Famous Dave’s All-Star BBQ Championship, hosted by WFC which will take place during its 11th annual tournament in Dallas, Texas this fall.

The event is free and open to the public.
The first 200 attendees at each event will receive free BBQ wings, and all eligible attendees can enter to win a Gateway Drum Smoker.
Judging each event will be a group of local celebrities, Famous Dave’s franchise owners, and occasionally even Famous Dave Anderson himself.
