EL PASO, Texas (CBS4) — The former president of the El Paso Municipal Police Officers Association, Ron Martin, pled not guilty Friday.
He filed a waiver of arraignment.
Friday was the first step of the criminal court process for Martin after he was charged with misusing money greater than or equal to $2,500 and less than $30,000.
Martin was arrested, booked and released from jail on Jan. 5 for the alleged offenses that occurred back in October of 2019 while Martin was still a police sergeant for the El Paso Police Department.
