International juggling festival in El Paso

Jugglers from all over the world are in El Paso for the week.

Some of the world’s top jugglers are in the Borderland this week. The International Jugglers' Association is hosting its annual festival at the El Paso Convention Center. This is the first time the festival has been held in Texas. Organizers say hundreds of jugglers from around the world are taking part.

"We are thrilled to be bringing our 69th annual festival to El Paso, Texas! This year's show line-up is phenomenal, with shows featuring top-notch jugglers from around the world. We invite you all to come enjoy the world class circus and juggling talent that will be flooding your city!" wrote Erin Stephens, IJA Festival show director.

CBS 4 Daybreak Anchor Nate Barrett tried his hand at juggling. Click on the attached video to see his best efforts and that of some of the professionals.

The festival also includes performances at the Plaza Theater.

"We are delighted to welcome the International Jugglers' Association to El Paso for the first time and even more excited to have El Paso as their first Texas host city." said Bryan Crowe, general manager for Destination El Paso. "Unlike other, more traditional conventions, the community is encouraged to come and view around-the-clock juggling, four evenings of shows and championship competitions, over a hundred workshops, and other special events."
