Man arrested, charged with murder for death of man in Socorro
SOCORRO, Texas (CBS4) —
The El Paso Sheriff's Office arrested a man in connection to the death of a man in Socorro.
Emilio Gonzalez, 20, was taken to a hospital Wednesday evening after being stabbed to death, said El Paso County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Leslie Antunez.
Around 9:30 p.m. the Socorro Police Department and Tigua Tribal Police responded to the 1100 block of Tomas Granillo Street in Socorro in reference to a stabbing, said Antunez.
Gonzalez died from his injuries, said Antunez.
Catalino Romero, 34, was arrested and booked into the El Paso County Detention Center, according to Antunez.
Romero is being held on a $1 million bond and is being charged with murder.
The Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit is handling the investigation.
The investigation is ongoing.
