K-9 and air support called in for serious situation Friday in west El Paso
Police described what happened in a west El Paso neighborhood as a serious situation early Friday morning.
There was an active scene at Brisa del Mar and Bella Artes a few blocks from Franklin High School.
Police on the scene confirmed to CBS4 that a resident in the area got into a scuffle with a person he thought was armed.
The resident called police shortly after the scuffle.
Police blocked off Ojo de Agua, Isla del Rey, Brisa del Mar and Bella Artes off of Westwind, surrounding the area as they searched for the suspect.
A state trooper on the scene confirmed that a K-9 and air support were called out for the search of the suspect.
Police cleared the scene just before 5 a.m.
They continue to block off streets near Franklin.
Police cleared the scene when the suspect was never found.
