EL PASO, Texas — A large fire broke out at a home on the 9700 block of Wick Way in east El Paso.
The El Paso Fire Department tweeted about the fire around 5:30 p.m.
When firefighters arrived, they saw large clouds of black smoke coming from the house.
Most of the fire was put out in about 20 minutes, according to Fire Department spokesman Carlos Briano.
No one was inside the home during the fire, Briano said. The Red Cross will be assisting those living in the home.
A total of 17 units and 44 firefighters responded to the fire.
Briano said the estimated damage to the home is of $150,000.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
