Las Cruces Crime Stoppers offering reward for leads to identify thief
LAS CRUCES, N.M. (KFOX14/CBS4) —
The Las Cruces Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for leads that help identify a man suspected of robbing a local convenience store on Monday evening.
Officers were dispatched to the Eagle Quik Mart at 2110 N. Alameda Boulevard around 9 p.m.
According to police, they got a call of a man who looked as though he was going to make a purchase, but when the cashier opened the register, the man punched the cashier and grabbed the cash drawer.
The man then fled the scene.
He was seen getting into a dark-colored 4-door sedan.
The car was seen leaving a nearby apartment and heading south on Alameda.
The man was described African-American, in his mid-30s and about 6 feet 1 inches tall.
He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, red shorts, and red shoes.
Police said they believe the man has full-sleeve tattoos on both arms.
