Las Cruces police looking for murder suspect
The Las Cruces Police Department needs the community's help in locating a suspected murderer.
Friday night, LCPD officers were called out to a residential area in the 2300 block of Sambrano Avenue, around 7:30 p.m.
Officers said they found a 29-year-old victim on the ground, injured.
He was transported to the hospital, where he later died.
Witnesses said 23-year-old Nathaniel Montoya was involved in a fight with the man who died.
Montoya reportedly fled the scene with another person in a dark-colored van.
Montoya is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 200 pounds.
He is considered to be armed and dangerous.
Anyone who has any information on Montoya is asked to call Las Cruces police.
