Man caught on camera burglarizing Las Cruces pawn shop
The owner of a Las Cruces pawn shop is looking for the thief that got away with expensive jewelry.
Surveillance footage show a man who covered his face with a bandanna throwing an object at the store’s window to get inside.
Jacqueline Toth, owner of the pawn shop, said the burglar aimed for the case filled with gold jewelry.
The burglary happened at 3940 W Picacho Ave on Sept. 26 around 4 a.m.
Toth says she believes the burglar may have been a customer who was familiar with the layout of her store.
So far this year, Toth has been robbed four times. She said each case has resulted in an arrest.
Deputies with the Dona Ana County Sheriff’s Department said this case is an ongoing investigation.
There have been seven break-ins reported in the area where Toth’s store is located.
