El Paso is one of the best locations in the country for students with debt, according to a new study.

RewardExpert released its ranking of 2018's Best and Worst Cities for Millennials with Student Debt. Using 23 data indicators, the site is trying to help recent graduates make informed decisions on where to kick off their careers and chip away at student loans.

El Paso ranked as the sixth-best location in the United States.

The site explained that the city has a lower than median student debt of $14, 715. It also reports that 41 percent of the workforce requires a higher education.

Another factor leading to El Paso's high ranking is the low housing cost. RewardExpert reported that the median gross rent is $756 and the median housing cost for homeowners is $971.

Lincoln, Nebraska, was the top ranking city due to a strong job market and a well-educated population with a low unemployment rate.
