LAS CRUCES, N.M. (KFOX14/CBS4) — A new 50-meter community pool will open in Las Cruces on Saturday.
The pool will be located at the new Las Cruces Natatorium,1405 E. Hadley Ave., and will be open for the season until Monday, Sept. 4.
Lap swimming will be offered from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m., 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Friday, and 8 a.m. to noon Saturday. The cost will be $2 with no reservation required. Lanes will be based on two to four swimmers per lane.
Fitness swim will be offered from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday to Friday. The cost will be $2, with no reservation required.
Open swim sessions will be offered from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Friday and from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday. The open swim session fee will be $4 for ages 18 and older and $3 for those 2 to 17 years old.
The pool will be closed Sunday.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony and grand opening celebration are scheduled for 3:30 p.m. on June 15.
