Transmountain Road was closed for hours on Fourth of July following a deadly motorcycle crash.
The crash happened on the Northeast side of Transmountain Wednesday just before noon, according to Leslie Antunez with the El Paso County Sheriff's Office.
The driver was going east on Transmountain when he for unknown reasons lost control, veered off the roadway and struck a wire median, Antunez said.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. He is not being identified at this time.
Transmountain was closed for about five hours during the investigation. It was reopened just before 5 p.m.
