Parts of the Borderland under a heat advisory Tuesday

Dangerous weather conditions are expected throughout the Borderland Tuesday.

A heat advisory has been issued for El Paso County from noon to 9 p.m.

Forecaster Amanda Guillen is predicting the high to be 104 degrees here in El Paso.

In some areas of the region highs could reach up to 107 degrees.

A new record high is very possible as the old record set back in 2013 is 106 degrees.

Make sure you stay hydrated throughout the day, if you have to be outdoors make sure to pace yourself and also stay out of the sun.

Wear light colored clothing and pack a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen in your car or bag.

Check on those who could be prone to heat related illnesses like the elderly.

Also call 911 if you begin to feel signs of a heat stroke.
