An outage map on the utility's website indicates more than 4,000 El Paso Electric customers are without power.
Despite its map, El Paso Electric officials say about 300 of their customers are affected.

El Paso Electric crews are in the Upper Valley working to restore power.
It was reported around 10:40 a.m.
Just before 3 p.m., El Paso Electric officials said the pole had been replaced and crews were still working in the area.
Power was restored just after 3:30 p.m.
