Miguel Bygoytia will spend his life in prison
A 21-year-old man convicted of murder will spend his life in prison.
Miguel Bygoytia was sentenced Tuesday.
The El Paso jury reached a verdict at 5 p.m. for the murder of Aaron Ochoa.
Ochoa, 18, was killed in 2014.
The jury was shown pictures from Ochoa's life and heard more about who he was.
The same jury found Bygoytia guilty last week.
Ochoa was shot and killed in a central El Paso parking lot in 2014.
Before the jury deliberated, the defense asked them to consider Bygoytia age, 21.
Bygoytia took the stand saying he has remorse, but the prosecution argued Bygoytia deserved to spend the rest of his life behind bars.
Bygoytia is the third person to be found guilty for the murder of Ochoa.
Gustavo Valencia was sentenced to 60 years behind bars and Armando Torres to 10.
