Police ID woman killed in I-10 crash near Copia

Police identified the 31-year-old woman who died in a crash on Interstate 10 near Copia Thursday morning.

According to investigators, Aizaa Traylana Chavez was driving east when she lost control of the Mitsubishi Endeavor she was driving and struck a guardrail.

The car then rolled over several times. Chavez died at the scene, police said.

All lanes on I-10 East at Copia were closed for several hours.

Special Traffic Investigators with El Paso Police Department were at the scene of the deadly crash since 4:30 a.m.

CBS4 cameras captured video of the crash site.

Gateway East was partially blocked off during the morning commute.

Traffic was diverted at the US-54 exit.

Copia Street at Gateway East was closed because debris from the crash had fallen down the overpass.

Lanes on the interstate reopened around 10:30 a.m.
