UPDATE: Woman turned gun on herself after killing man in Crathorne St. home
The El Paso County Sheriff's office released how a man and woman died in far east El Paso earlier this month.
The investigation revealed that Barbara Adams, 36, shot and killed 40-year-old William Glover before turning the gun on herself, Leslie Antunez with EPCSO said in a press release Friday.
Both Adams and Glover worked at Del Sol Medical Center, said sheriff’s deputies.
Sheriff’s investigators were called out to do a welfare check around 1 a.m. on Feb. 15 at a home in the 800 block of Crathorne Street in far east El Paso County.
"Something bad happened because there is a lot of activity from the sheriff’s office," one neighbor said.
Glover and Adams were both dead inside the home, said deputies.
"They were just young couple who looked happy," a neighbor said. "Like nothing to worry about."
"No way in a million years would I ever think this would happen next door," Ruben Lopez, next-door neighbor, said.
Other neighbors said the two kept to themselves.
"It seemed like they were nice people. It was just they started off with argument soon, you know, so why I stayed away," Lopez said. "I said hi to the lady. I said hi to him and he ignored me. "She was just very friendly with everybody. It just seems like he was very controlling."
Del Sol Medical Center CEO, David Shimp, sent the following statement:
We send our condolences to the families and friends of these individuals and have made counseling services available to our employees during this difficult time.
