Snow blowing into El Paso
Snow began blowing into Hudspeth County overnight Wednesday and moved into far east El Paso County Early Thursday morning.
About 7 a.m., residents woke up to widespread light snow and around 8 a.m. it began blowing when winds picked up.
The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning for El Paso County for the first time this season.
It’s expected to last until Friday at 11 a.m.
A winter weather advisory continues in effect for all of Hudspeth County and far east El Paso County until 8 p.m. Thursday for light snow accumulations.
All area school districts are operating on a normal schedule.
The roadways can be slick from melting snow. Accumulating snow is more likely on non-concrete surfaces.
Experts advise for motorists to slow down or if you don’t need to be on the roadway, stay indoors.
Enjoy El Paso, It’s your first snowfall this winter season.
