Traffic stopped after a stalled car blocks Loop 375 westbound near Bowie H.S.
Traffic is at a standstill on the Loop 375 Border Highway west near Bowie High School due to a stalled car.
The El Paso Police department's dispatch told CBS4 a vehicle broke down and lost two tires, forcing police to shutdown the roadway.
The area is already narrowed down to one lane due to roadwork in the area.
Traffic has been at a standstill since 8 a.m., and it could take up to an hour to get a tow truck to the area and remove the vehicle.
Drivers should avoid this portion of the Loop 375 until the roadway is clear and take Paisano Drive, Alameda Avenue or I-10 as alternate routes.
