Two arrested on capital murder charge in shooting death of Ysleta High School student
Two people accused of killing a Ysleta High School student in October have been arrested, police said.
Daniel Raul Torres, 18, and Victor Alexander Valerio, 20, worked together to sell the victim drugs and shoot him, according to police.
Juan Manuel Cervantes, 17, died from his injuries, police said.
The incident happened on Oct. 18 on the 8400 block of Hughes Circle near Roseway Drive in the Lower Valley, police said.
Police said Torres and Valerio set drug deal with the intent of ripping off the victim.
The two were charged with capital murder, and they were booked into the county jail without bond.
